A cold plunge is a form of cold water immersion therapy where the body is submerged in cold water for a short period of time. Cold plunging has been used for centuries to support recovery, circulation, and mental clarity.
The cold plunge at With Wellness is designed to feel intentional and approachable, especially for first-time guests. Sessions are fully private, with no shared space and no staff present during your visit.
You’re welcome to step in briefly, step out, rest, and repeat — or try it once and move on. Many guests appreciate being able to explore cold exposure without an audience or a strict structure.
Many people combine cold plunging with sauna heat exposure, a practice known as contrast therapy, which alternates between hot and cold temperatures.
Cold plunge sessions are often used to support recovery, sharpen focus, and build resilience. Guests commonly use cold water immersion to help with:
At With Wellness, many guests pair the cold plunge with sauna use to create a simple, effective contrast therapy experience.
Unlike commercial spas or gym recovery rooms, the cold plunge at With Wellness is part of a private outdoor wellness space. Each booking reserves the entire space, allowing guests to relax, move between the sauna and plunge, and enjoy the experience without crowds or time pressure.
The space is designed to feel simple and approachable. Whether you are trying cold plunging for the first time or incorporating it into a regular recovery routine, the environment allows you to focus on the experience without distractions.
Many guests combine the cold plunge with our infrared sauna to practice contrast therapy. Alternating between heat and cold can stimulate circulation and create a powerful recovery routine.
Contrast therapy can be customized based on individual needs, but the guidelines below reflect a proven, balanced approach:
• Infrared sauna: 15–20 minutes
• Cold plunge: 1–3 minutes
• Repeat: 2–3 cycles
You can finish on a cold plunge for energy and recovery, or end in the sauna or hot tub for deeper relaxation.

Using Sauna & Cold Plunge Together
(Contrast Therapy)
Many guests choose to move between the sauna and cold plunge during their session — a practice often called contrast therapy.
Contrast therapy uses alternating heat and cold to support circulation, recovery, and nervous system balance in a way single-temperature therapies can’t.
Moving between hot and cold encourages blood flow, helps relieve muscle tension, and leaves many people feeling clear-headed, energized, and deeply relaxed.
Beyond contrast therapy, our space is yours to use intentionally. Many guests also enjoy:
- Journaling or quiet reflection
- Prayer or meditation
- Resting in the lounge area between cycles
Contrast therapy can be customized based on individual needs, but the guidelines below reflect a proven, balanced approach:
• Infrared sauna: 15–20 minutes
• Cold plunge: 1–3 minutes
• Repeat: 2–3 cycles
You can finish on a cold plunge for energy and recovery, or end in the sauna or hot tub for deeper relaxation.
However you choose to use the space, the goal is the same — rest, reset, and leave feeling better than when you arrived
